We sell fully restored pre-World War II manual typewriters. We have a great love for these beautiful antique machines. Our specially is restoring Oliver Typewriters, but sometimes we restore other types of typewriters including: Remingtons, royals, Odels, lamberts, and underwood typewriters.
We frequently have Oliver No. 7 and Oliver No. 9 for sale on this website. Occasionally, we run across an Oliver No. 5 or Oliver No. 11 that we offer for sale here.
To be considered fully-restore, each typewriter’s goes through a through cleaning and inspection. First of all the typewriter’s carriage is disassembled. The rollers and platen are recovered. Carriage bearings are cleaned and inspected. The typewriter’s type bars are fully cleaned of all dried ink and dirt. Adjustments are made to ensure the machine types perfectly. The original carriage return strap is replaced with a stainless cable so it will last a very long time. The typewriter is given a through cleaning and oiling. Finally, the typewriter gets a new ribbon and gets it’s final typing test.
